Another Chance Drawn To Order In Young Guns

MICK Zammit will be "swanning around" Wentworth Park on Saturday in search of a G1 victory, while Selena will be tasked with heading to Ipswich.

MICK Zammit will be “swanning around” Wentworth Park on Saturday night in search of a possible Group 1 victory, while his wife Selena will be tasked with heading to Ipswich.

Mick, whose nickname to his mates is “Group 1”, will be in Sydney with Jay Is Jay for the heats of the Golden Easter Egg (520m).

And the home bred son of Sennachie and Mick's mother-in-law's former prolific Albion Park winner Kealoah is coming off a 29.35 track record at The Creek.

FIELDS AND FORM IPSWICH SATURDAY NIGHT

Selena will be tasked with taking Another Chance (My Redeemer-Lily Sur Seine) to Ipswich for the final of the Listed Young Guns (520m) and he goes into the final off a slick 30.45 heat win.

But for a “handy” trial around Wenty, Another Chance may also have been heading to the Easter Egg heats.

“We took him to Wentworth Park with Jay Is Jay and he went close to 30 seconds,” said Mick of Another Chance.

“I was expecting him to go a bit quicker but a couple of things combined to add a few tenths top his time in the trial.”

Jay Is Jay went 29.50 in his first-look trial around Wentworth Park.

Both dogs backed up after those trials with scorching wins.

Another Chance has raced just 17 times for eight wins and his 30.45 Young Guns heat win was his debut on the Ipswich track.

He also drew the eight when winning that heat.

Mick's wife Selena owns and trains Another Chance which has already won the Michael Miller Memorial at Capalaba.

He is a litter brother to Elisheba the winner earlier in the year of the G3 Vince Curry Maiden at Ipswich for Adam Macintosh.

But, he comes up against a slick field of young dogs including Casey Dargusch's littermates Bora Blue and Pink Summer (Zambora Brockie-Blue Texada) who both won Young Guns heats last Saturday night in 30.55 and 30.39 respectively.

Hard to toss off the rails is John Catton's Locked On Scotch, while Allan Lang's Cataclysmic has raced just once at Ipswich for a heat win last week in 30.53.
