Gamache The Banker At The Meadows On Saturday

GAMACHE is a long odds on quote to continue his unbeaten start to his career when he lines up at The Meadows on Saturday night.

The son of Barcia Bale was flawless in his first two career starts, stepping well to lead all of the way and win by 15 lengths on debut, then by eight lengths 10 days later. Despite mistiming the start at his most recent outing and receiving an early bump, he showed good tenacity to rail and win again.

Next best: Tangela Bale (Race 9, Box 2)

Won four on the spin including an impressive 29.33 at Sandown Park before drawing unsuitable wide boxes and running second in his last two. Back to box 2 here and with little pace each side is drawn to return to the winner's list.

Value: Minter Frost (Race 6, Box 1)

Will jump from box 1 for the first time at career start 25. Is winless in his last seven starts but won three in a row over 595m at Sandown Park before that. Was caught in the final bounds three starts ago in quick time, and if he can nail the start from the inside draw will give them something to chase.

Lay: Never Any Doubt (Race 5, Box 6)

Ultra impressive last time out and has a solid career record (8:3-1-1). Makes his city debut here (is yet to race over further than 425m), has been inconsistent at box rise and has drawn box 6 against greyhounds with city form. Needs to do everything right.
