Just Browsing Bags Herself A Bracelet

JUST Browsing ran right up to her classy heat run when she scored a brilliant victory in last week's Steve King Ladies Bracelet Final (515 metres) at Launceston.

The daughter of multiple group winning sire My Bro Fabio and Dennes Point went to the boxes as favourite from box eight and, when the lids flew open, the black sprinter didn't put a foot wrong, charging across to take the lead through the first turn.

Just Browsing let loose with her phenomenal mid race speed to power away down the back, as she kicked strongly to score by seven lengths from Miss Hanigan with Take Guard third in a red-hot 29.72.

Trained by Gary Fahey , the win gave Just Browsing her 12th career victory from 18 starts.

"This bitch is a faultless beginner and the Ladies Bracelet final was only her second run out of the boxes for five weeks," Fahey said

"It gave me confidence in previous runs, knowing she would be readier come the final after working hard in her heat.

"You know people say when you breed litters that the best ones come in the first litter but to get Just Browsing from her mother's (Dennes Point) fourth and final litter was great, and I didn't think I'd get a good chaser like her late in my life."

Owned in partnership with Gary's brother Greg Fahey, Just Browsing has a string of classic victories highlighted by the win in this year's prestigious Illingworth Classic Final.

Just Browsing's fantastic record at Launceston of nine wins from 10 starts over 515 metres has kindly tagged her by spectators and even esteemed form commentators as the "Queen of Launceston".

"I guess you could say that," Gary laughed.

Mangalore-based Fahey will likely concentrate his team towards the state's upcoming group races.

"There isn't much around now feature race wise until December, so I think we might just try to win a couple of graded races at both Devonport and Hobart with Just Browsing and her sister (Scared Shadow) to help them qualify for the big races later in the year," he said.

"We couldn't be any happier in the way both bitches are going, so with luck we can only hope they can both keep going well in months to come."
