Whilst all the buzz currently surrounds the running of the Regional qualifiers of the Ladbrokes Million Dollar Chase, the spotlight well and truly shifts to Dapto this Thursday night for the heats of the Group 1 BETEASY sponsored Dapto Megastar (520m).

Four heats of the $75,000 to-the-winner series are set down for decision, with the second run-off highlighted by the appearance of Bathurst's Million Dollar Chase Regional qualifier winner Rohan Hill for Jodie and Andy Lord.

Going around unwanted in betting for Monday's hotly contested finale at Bathurst, where he booked himself a berth in the series' semi-finals at Wentworth Park on October 12, Rohan Hill tackles Thursday night's Megastar heats at a track he's enjoyed immense success at in the past, winning eight of his 13 starts at the south coast venue, including a flying personal best time of 29.66.

In a heat brimful of talent, Rohan Hill takes on recent Group 2 Black Top runner-up Zipping Tayla, beaten at rock bottom odds at Dapto last Thursday, as well as the talented Uncle Donuts and powerhouse sprinter Lagoon Rhett.

The opening heat is set up to be a fantastic spectacle, with sizzling last start Dapto winner Benkennie Chic eyeing three wins on the bounce for trainer Peter Mantach, fresh off last week's outstanding 29.50 display.

The daughter of My Bro Fabio is joined in her heat by Maitland Cup hero Aston Duke, Ladbrokes Gardens track record holder Zipping Bailey – a slick 29.86 Dapto victor last Thursday – and prolific city winner Fast Car Driving, hugely impressive scoring at Ladbrokes Gardens on Saturday night.

Heat three sees the appearance of two-time Group 1 winner Raw Ability for Anthony Azzopardi, the son of Barcia Bale lining up after finishing down the track in Sunday's Group 3 Healesville Cup Final.

Winner of the Adelaide Cup and Paws Of Thunder in a career that's so far netted 22 wins and over $250,000 in prizemoney, Raw Ability ventures to Dapto for the first time where he meets Ritza Millie, unbeaten in four Dapto starts, and Drink Schooners, who got the better of counterpart One Hour Parking in fast time last time out at Maitland.

The fourth and final chance to qualify for next week's finale will see pinup sprinter Sky Wave start a warm favourite for Vic Sultana – the daughter of Don't Knocka Him on the quick back up after having no luck in Monday's Million Dollar Chase Regional Final at Bathurst.

Making her Dapto debut, Sky Wave should relish racing at the tight Dapto circuit and lining up as clearly the class runner, she looks a huge chance of progressing through to next week's Group 1 showpiece event where she will again have undeniable claims.
