She Will Bloom Bred For Group 3 Success

SHE Will Bloom proved once again she is a high quality race bitch when she led throughout to dent a few reputations with victory in the Group 3 Top Cat Video Cup at The Meadows on Saturday night.

The daughter of Turanza Bale-Kula Girl by Where's Pedro added that victory to a third placing in the G3 Speed Star and a final berth in the G2 WA Oaks and yet another G3 Speed Star.

There is much to absolutely love about her pedigree.

If you look closely, she shows 3×5 cross of the litter brothers Black Shiraz and Big Ginger Boy (neither positioned to greatly impact with each other), and a 5×5 cross of Brother Fox as the nearest example of line breeding.

But a much closer inspection will show She Will Bloom carries a saturation of the Brother Fox-Promises Free litter, and yet even further saturation of the Wheeler family's Gail's Beauty damline.

Her sire Turanza Bale is line bred 4×3 and balanced to Walkabout Sid. This balance of Walkabout Sid (Brother Fox-Promises Fee) was a common theme among the best progeny sired by Primo Uno (sire of Turanza Bale).

Turanza Bale is bred along almost identical lines to Chloe Allen the dam of Fernando Bale. They are both by Primo Uno and carry Head Honcho and the Gail's Beauty family in their damline.

(With this in mind, I'd love to see She Will Bloom mated to Fernando Bale when she retires to stud.)

But, it is dam Kula Girl who carries a very in-bred pedigree. She brings in yet another three crosses of the Brother Fox-Promises Free litter, all via Amerigo Man.

Kula Girl is Where's Pedro-Runaway Promises by Elite State.

We already know that Where's Pedro's fourth dam Matthew's Antic is by the Wheeler-bred Handsomelee (Temlee-Gail's Antic).

But it is Kula Girl's second dam, Young track record breaker More To Life (Henerik Bale-Wildside Sis by Lansley Bale), that really interests.

She is hugely in-bred 4×3 to the virtual sisters Red Fire Bale and Carmel Bale.
Red Fire Bale is World Acclaim-Mercia Bale. Her dam Mercia Bale is Benjamin John-Dynabolt.

Carmel Bale is by World Acclaim's son Statistician-Christina Bale. Her dam Christina Bale is Acacia Park-Winifred Bale and Winifred Bale's second dam is Dynabolt.

So, when we look back at the pedigree of She Will Bloom's sire Turanza Bale, we find his fourth dam is Gwendalyn Bale who just happens to be a litter sister to Winifred Bale.

She Will Bloom is absolutely saturated with the famed Gail's Beauty, via famous litter sisters, and also through a virtual sister.

It augurs extremely well for She Will Bloom when she goes to stud. Bitches with multiple crosses of a famous producer can almost always be relied upon to be successful at stud.

OVER in WA, Who's Got Cash (Barcia Bale-Te Amo by Cosmic Rumble) continued the success of his dam with a stylish Cannington victory at the weekend.

Who's Got Cash is a litter brother to G2 WA Derby finalist Hastie Guess.

They are younger half brothers to G1 star West On Augie (by Fernando Bale).

What interests me most is the fact the Barcia Bale-Te Amo mating brings in a 3×3 duplication of Hallucinate but also a saturation of the “Osti” family.

We have already seen that Barcia Bale does extremely well when he mates up with bitches that carry a cross of Hallucinate's litter brother Where's Pedro.

But Who's Got Cash and Hastie Guess are among the few with a double of Hallucinate.

The latter was well known for having an “over the top” nature about him which can sometimes carry on to the progeny of Barcia Bale.
Te Amo (Cosmic Rumble-Osti's Bride by Hallucinate) was Group 1 class on the racetrack and has continued in that class as a producer.
