Another Record Breaking Year For Barcia Bale

IT was another record breaking year for the late Barcia Bale at stud, his freakish exploits highlighted with five finalists in Saturday's G1 Silver Chief.

ANOTHER year …

Another set of records tumble to the magnificent Barcia Bale.

In a year that we sadly lost the generational sire to illness, progeny of Barcia Bale won a remarkable $17.1 million in stakes for 2019, comfortably surpassing his already established 2018 record of $12.7 million.

Since bursting onto the scene at stud in 2014 his sons and daughters have now won in excess of $51 million … and counting.

His progeny won an incredible 6,057 races for the calendar year 2019 – another record breaking effort of his own – while on the metropolitan circuit his progeny won over $8 million in stakes. Yes, another record.

Some of his best offspring to grace the track in 2019 include greyhounds the caliber of Hooked On Scotch, Zipping Bailey, Barooga Brett, Circle Of Dreams, Beast Unleashed, Shima Shine and litter-brothers Simon Told Helen and Who Told Stevie … just to name a few.

The list is long and illustrious. The mark of his greatness, the fact his own sons are beginning to forge their own success at stud.

This Saturday night Barcia Bale will be represented by five finalists in the Group 1 Silver Chief at The Meadows, eyeing back-to-back wins in the male classic following Barooga Brett's dominant victory in 2019.

He incredibly sired eight of the 12 winners at The Meadows on Saturday, the same night he parceled up the Australian Metropolitan Sires Premiership with a remarkable 1450 at Australia's premier tracks.

2019 also saw another 1-2-3 finish in the standings for Meticulous Lodge sires Barcia Bale, Fernando Bale and Fabregas … the trio's deeds seemingly knowing no bounds!
