Beast's Return Going ‘Swimmingly'

GROUP 2 Launching Pad hero Beast Unleashed, one of the brightest stars in NSW greyhound racing, is firmly on the road to recovery after sustaining a leg injury in June's Group 1 Peter Mosman Classic at Wentworth Park when favourite for the time honoured feature.

Winner at eight his 12 career starts for Peter and Jodie Lagogiane, including his heroic victory in the Group 2 Launching Pad Final at Sandown Park in March where he pocketed the cool $150,000 first prize for his troubles, connections are treading a cautious path with their star galloper as he begins his return from injury.

"Things are coming along slowly," said trainer Peter Lagogiane.

"He's really missing going to the races, he's doing a lot of swimming at the moment and the plan is to start galloping in around four weeks' time all things being equal."

Whilst their kennel star is parked on the sidelines currently with injury, Lagogianes Llandilo kennels have been firing on all cylinders in recent weeks, winning eight of the past 15 races they've contested.

A decent trot in anyone's language!
