BROODBITCH great, Born Ali, died on Friday leaving behind a legacy of greatness both on and off the racetrack.

The daughter of Velocette-Born Princess was bred and raced by Noel Mugavin at Warrnambool.

“Friday was a pretty sad day for the family and me,” said Noel.

“I shed lots of tears and I'm not a person who cries.

“She had not been well for a couple of months and it was her time.

“A very, very sad day.

“She will be sadly missed. She spent her entire day inside but always went into her kennel late at night.

“I will have her cremated and spread her ashes over the pup yards where her all daughters now have their own pups.”
