THE first round of nominations for next weekend's Connamble October Long weekend carnival close this Thursday.

Kicking off with the Friday twilight program on October 4, the famous four day carnival culminates with a huge Monday of racing on October 7, where a number of feature finals will be run and won, including the $10,000 to-the-winner Garrards Horse & Hound Gold Maiden (305m).

As reported by the Recorder back on September 10, the Friday night program will deliver participants TAB class prize money, the joint initiative between GRNSW and the Coonamble GRC only adding to the hype and excitement leading into the fast approaching carnival.

Most importantly, owners and trainers need to note nomination closing times to ensure they don't miss out.

Nominations for the Friday twilight and (TAB prize money) night program close with GRNSW this Thursday (26th) at 9.15am.

Nominations for the Saturday programs, including the afternoon meeting which features the heats of the Garrard's sponsored Gold Maiden (305m), close this Friday (27th) at 9.15am.

While a spate of feature finals will be staged on Monday October 7, a list of other events will also be programmed, with nominations for the morning and afternoon meetings closing next Monday, September 30 at 9.15am.
