BOOM young Victorian stayer Five Star has been handed an invitation for next Thursday night's Group 3 Superstayers Invitational (710m) at Albion Park.

The recent Lizrene Speed Star winner at Sandown Park will be joined in the $37,500 event by Maggie Moo Moo, Sir Truculent and Zipping Niseko in what looms as a fantastic edition of the four-dog invitational.

The Paul Abela-trained Five Star is considered a star on the rise in the staying ranks and will venture to Queensland for his first interstate assignment after contesting Friday night's lucrative Pink Diamond Champion Distance Final (660m) at Bendigo.

Winner at eight of his 25 starts, Five Star will use next week's Superstayers as the perfect lead up to the fast approaching Group 1 Queensland Cup worth a cool $150,000.

But victory in the Group 3 feature won't come easy with a terrific field of stayers lining up.

Maggie Moo Moo, a recent Group 1 Sandown Cup finalist, will be suited to the reduced field as will SA staying star Sir Truculent which won the $75,000-to-the-winner Gold Cup at Albion Park in February.

Rounding out the field is the very talented Zipping Niseko which has proven a revelation over the distance journey in recent months.

Together, the four greyhounds have recorded 75 wins and accumulated just over $500,000 in prizemoney.

Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club CEO, Luke Gatehouse, said the quality of the Superstayers field  is a testament to a well-planned Winter Carnival of riches in the Sunshine State.

"The Superstayers is an event that we mark in the calendar each year to showcase the best staying  talent in the country and this year is certainly no exception with the field we have attracted," Gatehouse said.

"Every greyhound will get their chance to position themselves at the top of the staying ranks and it  provides a perfect lead in into the Group 1 TAB Queensland Cup series commencing on July 1."
