Freakish Talent Smashes Richmond Record In Trial

THE regally bred Coin Model, now being trained by Michelle Sultana, smashed the Richmond 520m track record in a stewards trial on Sunday night.

COIN Model, now being trained by Michelle Sultana, smashed the Richmond 520m track record in a stewards trial on Sunday night.

Stewards cleared the Barcia Bale-Champion Model bitch and put up that she had trialled 29.06.

The track record is 29.24 held by Frank Hurst's star sprinter Good Odds Cash.

But the automatic timer signalled Coin Model had run 28.96.

“I took a photo of the timer just to convince myself,” said Michelle.  “Her run home was 11.13.”

Sultana was sent Coin Model from the Jodie and Andy Lord kennel after the bitch was charged with marring at Wentworth Park in November last year.

“We have a great relationship with Jodie and Andy, and this bitch's owner Clay Mullins,” she said.

“We got her to run her through a series of finish on trials at Richmond.

“She had already broken the post to post record at Richmond leading up to this trial.”

Michelle says Coin Model could run at Richmond next Sunday.

“She is a fabulous bitch,” she said.

The Lord kennel sent Sultana star sprinter Sacred Stance last year and he went on to win the Group 2 Healesville Cup and make the finals of the G3 Capalaba Cup and the Richmond Straight Cup for Sultana.
