GOLDEN Easter Egg winner Zipping Bailey has whelped nine pups to exciting stud prospect Zipping Garth.

On the track Zipping Bailey was an out and out star, winning 21 of her 43 starts for champion trainer Jason Mackay during a fantastic career.

And while her influence on the track was profound, she promises to be every bit as successful in the breeding barn, with her first litter producing five dogs and four bitches to Zipping Garth on Monday.

“Having trained both the sire and dam and knowing what they were capable of I can't wait to see these pups in the future,” Mackay said.

“Zipping Garth's first lot of pups are getting right into their education now and everyone I speak to his raving about them which is what you're after.

“It's going to be a big next few months.”

Zipping Bailey is a daughter of Barcia Bale and grand producer Zipping Willow, the dam trained by Mackay to 34 race wins, including two at group race level.

Zipping Willow is already responsible for producing three group 1 winners, namely Zipping Bailey (Golden Easter Egg), Zipping Veyron (National Futurity) and Zipping Tayla (Dapto Megastar).

In total, her pups have won in excess of 160 races for over $1 million in prizemoney.

And at Ladbrokes Gardens on Saturday night, Mackay unveiled Zipping Willow's newest offspring with Zipping Winks scoring on debut over the 400 metres in a flying 22.49.

Zipping Winks is by Melbourne Cup winner My Redeemer, the former top flight chaser enjoying a fantastic start to his stud career.

But don't expect to see anymore from this litter grace the track – the much anticipated whelping producing just the one pup – Zipping Winks.
