HIGH class race bitch I'm Explosive has broken her hock and will be retired from racing to start a career in the breeding barn.
The daughter of Barcia Bale and Explosive Madame retires after 57 starts for 18 wins and 21 placings earning $122,000 in stakes.
She tailed the field in behind Street Cry in The Tempest (600m) at Albion Park last Thursday night.
“I'm just about to go to the vet and pick her up,” said Glass House Mountains trainer Robert Ayres.
“She has been a wonderful race bitch for her owners and my kennel.
“She came to me as a 10-start maiden and retires having won 18 races and $122,000.”
Queenslander I'm Explosive lived up to her name as the box lids rose at @DaptoG on Thursday night and from there she simply refused to be run down, leading throughout to win the $25,000 @sportsbetcomau Dapto Middle Distance Championship final.

“She is going to make a wonderful broodbitch.”
She comes from a litter that also includes extra smart gallopers Highly Explosive (10 wins, $35,000), Stay Strong (9 wins, $51,000), Explosive Venom (12 wins, $39,000) and Nitroglycerine (10 wins, $29,000) etc.
