Littermates Land Elson A Winning Quartet

SUNSHINE Coast trainer Travis Elson landed four winners at Albion Park on Sunday night with four littermates.

And, he has high hopes for one of the winners, Summer's Queen, as a potential 500 metre star.

The June 2018 whelped litter, by Magic Sprite and Lauryn's Best, were all impressive.

Hope's Heist ran 19.22 and Summer's Flyer ran 19.34 to win maidens over 331m.

Summer's Queen ran a quick 18.79 in a Novice, while Queen Supreme ran a fast 22.71 over 395m in a graded race.

They are from the first litter produced by Lauryn's Best, a daughter of Just The Best and former champion race bitch and highly successful producer Queen
Lauryn.

Lauryn's Best won 20 races and earned $82,000 from a long race career and is proving a promising producer.

She has just whelped a litter of three dogs and five bitches, now two weeks old, to a mating to Barcia Bale.

“We will mate her to Fernando Bale for her third litter,” said Travis.

Elson believes Summer's Queen will develop into a fine city class bitch over 520m.

“Her final sections are very good and indicate she will get the distance no trouble,” he said.

Elson is high in praise of the progeny of Magic Sprite.

“We have had nothing but great success with him,” he said. “And he produces dogs that break in easily, and generally they are great box dogs.

“We very much like this litter by him.”
