Mystagogy An Old Marvel

THE five year old mark quickly approaches for George Borg-trained Mystagogy, however the son of El Grand Senor is showing no signs of slowing down.

It was a one horse race in the last on the card at Richmond last Friday when the veteran made light work of the blue box to leap smartly in front of the pack.

Punters clearly believed it was a two-horse-race before jump, with favourites Tamaar Tux and Jock Colley the only two in single digits.

Despite this, Mystagogy managed to put five lengths on his opponents just down the back straight.

He proved too quick as they approached the finish line, with fast finishing Jock Colley unable to catch the sprinter, still three-and-a-quarter lengths away.

Now well into triple figure starts, he has a record of 19 wins, 17 seconds and 16 thirds from 117 jumps, and has won at least once out of every box aside from the stripes.
