New Major Sponsor For Coonamble Carnival

THE Coonamble Club has announced wagering operator Betdogs.com.au as the club’s major sponsor for its October long weekend carnival in 2020.

THE Coonamble Greyhound Racing Club has announced wagering operator Betdogs.com.au as the club's major sponsor for its famous October long weekend carnival in 2020.

An institution in the fabric of NSW greyhound racing for over four decades, Betdogs.com.au's significant investment towards this year's carnival ensures that the four-day event will scale new heights in 2020.

"The team at Betdogs.com.au is delighted to support greyhound racing at grassroots level," said Betdogs.com.au chief executive officer Craig Driver.

"When the opportunity presented itself to get behind a carnival that carries the tradition of Coonamble it really was a no-brainer from our point of view.

"To play a role in ensuring a carnival with the history of Coonamble not only continues but also thrives is something we are very excited about.

“Also, we're looking forward to spending the next few months coming up with ideas and ways to work with the club and grow the carnival even further for the benefit of owners and trainers."

Coonamble carnival event organiser Kevin Gordon was equally excited in announcing Betdogs.com.au's sponsorship of this year's carnival.

"To have Betdogs.com.au come on board and sponsor the carnival, including the club's signature event the Gold Maiden, is a huge boost for the club, the Coonamble town and greyhound racing in general," said a delighted Gordon.

"As we all know attracting sponsorship is hard to come by so it's fantastic that Craig and his team have seen so much opportunity and potential in Coonamble.

"Everyone is on the same page to grow the carnival even further and we'll be making some exciting announcements in the months ahead.”

In the coming months the Coonamble club will release its 2020 carnival racing program, penciled in from Friday, October 2 through to a massive day of finals on Monday, October 5.

"As we know this carnival means an awful lot to the town of Coonamble and Betdogs.com.au's generous sponsorship goes a long way to ensuring another successful long weekend of racing in 2020," Gordon added.

The announcement that Betdogs.com.au has signed on as the carnival's major sponsor comes hot on the heels of the news that Garrard's Horse And Hound have again signed up to support the carnival.
