THIS time last year, connections of Out Of Range were readying the star son of Fernando Bale for the Group 1 National Derby Final at Wentworth Park, a race he would go on to win in breathtaking fashion, following on from his memorable Group 1 Silver Chief success at The Meadows.

Fast forward 12 months and the all-distance dynamo is now making a name for himself at stud, standing at Awesome Lodge for $1,650.

From a litter that has now won 132 races and just recently tipped over $1 million in prizemoney earnings, a large chunk of that by virtue of Group 1 Topgun hero Poke The Bear, Out Of Range has all the ingredients to make a successful transition to stud, not only bred in the purple but proven to be an outstanding chaser, capable of sizzling times and a winner at Group 1-level on two occasions.

In a further boost to this week's Group 1 National Futurity Final at Wentworth Park, the winning connections will receive a free service to Out Of Range, courtesy of Awesome Lodge.

Boasting a pedigree that is second to none, Out Of Range is gaining plenty of traction amongst breeders as he begins his stud journey, after his ever blossoming racing career was sadly cut short due to injury.
