Winner at 16 of her 43 starts, with prizemoney of $505,500, Dyna Patty now has two Group 1s on her blossoming CV, following her Maturity triumph at The Meadows last year.

The victory continued Team Daillys unrivaled success in the MGRA's flagship event also, landing the prize previously with Dyna Lachlan (2010), Spud Regis (2013), Dyna Double One (2016) and Hecton Bale (2018).

Dyna Patty's win made it four Australian Cups in succession for the Wheeler family as well, with Fanta Bale (2017) joining Dyna Double One, Hecton Bale and now Dyna Patty as recent winners of the time-honoured event.

In a race that took shape soon after box rise, runner-up Black Opium was gallant in defeat, with the youngster now second in both the Melbourne and Australian Cups for Seona Thompson.

There was a boilover result in the Group 1 Fanta Bale Super Stayers Final (725m), with NSW stayer Blue Moon Rising capturing the $100,000 first prize cheque with a bold all-the-way victory.

In a race that saw raging hot favourite Tornado Tears caught up in the run to the first turn, losing countless ground, Blue Moon Rising continued his consistent Victorian form for John and Minnie Finn, staving off Double Gee in the run to the line to score in 42.38.

The victory continued the outstanding run of success being enjoyed by the Fernando Bale x Chica Destacada litter, now boasting 81 race wins and $751,000 in stake money between them.
