PREMIER Victorian trainer Anthony Azzopardi lit up Facebook late Wednesday, and was on the phone to his good mate, Northern Rivers training “gun” Robert Cooke as well.

That was after the Raw Ability x Cashpot litter brothers Cash View and Cash Stack stormed into the Dave Brett Memorial Maiden Final (520m) by winning heats of the series at Albion Park on Wednesday afternoon.

Not only are they by Azzopardi’s former Group 1 star Raw Ability but their dam Cashpot is a daughter of Anthony’s Group 1 National Sprint winner Smooth Fancy.

But added to that is a personal touch that the premier trainer has warmed to.

“We gave the three boys in the litter the kennel names of Anthony (Cash Stack), Azza (Cash Bandit) and Pardi (Cash View),” said Robert Cooke’s wife Tammie.

“No wonder Anthony rang up late yesterday wanting to know when the boys were getting on the plane to come down to him.”

Azzopardi had the video replays of the heats of the Brett Memorial wins on his Facebook page almost instantly.

Robert Cooke has been raving about the potential of the litter from the moment he broke them in.

“They were naturals from the first minute we started on them,” he said.

Cash View ran 29.66 at his first 500m trial at Lismore and then went to Wentworth Park and trialled 30.01 at his first time on that track.

Cash View ran the quickest of the five heats of the Brett Memorial with a 30.04 performance and he was impressive in his victory.

Cash Stack had to work hard to win but did so running away on the line in 30.34.

They have drawn the one and the three in the final and even though both came from a wide draw in their heat wins, Cooke believes the inside draws are fine for their final chances.

“They will both go straight to the first turn,” he said.

Other heat winners were:

Countess Rhyme for Doug Gladman in 30.19

Nando Dreamer for Daniel Lee in 30.11

Connie’s Lass for Greg Stella in 30.44

Dave Brett Memorial Final (520m) box draw: 1 Cash View, 2 Impact, 3 Cash Stack, 4 Connie’s Lass, 5 Blue Jeans Talk, 6 Nando Dreamer, 7 Patched, 8 Countess Rhyme. Reserves: 9 Hoot Hoot Go, 10 Hara’s Finn.
