THE regional heats of the TAB Million Dollar Chase highlights tonight’s Richmond card where the clash between Mystic Riot and Black Forge in heat three (race seven) is an absolute belter.

Mystic Riot, winner of last year’s inaugural Million Dollar Chase for Peter Lagogiane, is drawn box one, while Black Forge, winner of the group 2 Maitland Cup earlier in the year for Darren Sultana, is drawn directly alongside in box two.

The talented pairing line-up tonight for their first start since tackling the Group 2 Black Top Final on August 30, where they finished midfield with under a length separating the two.

Betting has the pair at around $2.90 take your pick, with third in betting hugely talented Victorian Jaro Bale for Andrea Dailly.

Away from the heats there’s some good value to be had which are listed below.

RACE 3 Number 3 FEVER FURY

On paper form looks a little out of sorts but she’s going a lot better than what it would appear.

Absolutely loves Richmond, she’s had the seven starts here for four wins and two placings and at the 400m for the first time tonight expecting a forward display.

There’s $4.20 around at present and with a fair bit in her corner, well worth a ticket.

RACE 5 Number 1 DYNA UNTHER

This bloke’s a beast on his night and from the red at his Richmond debut expect he runs us a big race at around the $3.80 quote.

Hasn’t seen the track which is always a concern but his city winning times back home in Victoria are outstanding so I’m prepared to take the punt he handles the track first up.

RACE 7 Number 2 BLACK FORGE

Finished runner-up in the Group 2 Richmond Derby earlier in the year and if he puts his best foot forward tonight expect he’ll take a power of beating.

Can carve out serious sections and if he can cross the red early should prove hard to beat. Lack of speed to his outside is a real advantage, more than happy to take the $2.75 currently on offer.

RACE 9 Number 5 FANCY FRANCENE

More hopeful than anything, but if she puts her best foot forward capable of making pretty light work of this field.

Not known for her efforts over the 300 scamper but she’s generally a clean beginner and has a class edge on some of these at her best.

The favourite Toca Madera is a worthy one, but at the $4.00 on the offing currently go her way at the value.
