CHAMPION sprinter Sennachie has had his very first mating as a sire, the son of Fernando Bale covering regally bred group class race bitch Nit Noi.

CHAMPION sprinter Sennachie has had his very first mating, to Group class race bitch Nit Noi.

South Australian breeder Ryan Tugwell reports Nit Noi (Where's Pedro-Midnight Quest) was inseminated early this week to the champion sprinter, multiple Group 1 winner and track record breaker.

South Australians are particularly keen to use Sennachie because the dog was bred there, is owned by two prominent South Australian owners-trainers, and the dog did his initial racing there.

Tugwell is excited about the mating, the third for Nit Noi who was a finalist in the G3 Magic Maiden at Wentworth Park, the G3 SA Oaks and also the Champion Puppy Stakes at Angle Park.

She has her first litter, by Kinloch Brae, just starting to race and showing huge potential.

Her second, by Spring Gun, is six months old.

Nit Noi raced 88 times for 18 wins and 28 placings for Tugwell and is a litter sister to Ritza Rossi (27 wins, $159,000).
