IT was a forgettable night on the tip last Saturday to say the least.

But we're buttering back up and really keen on a few well boxed runners this Saturday night on the 10-race card.

RACE 3 Number 2 – HUDSON ROAD

Talented Mark Gatt-trained youngster that looks ideally placed in this company from the nice draw. Still learning but is a sub 30 seconds winner here in one of two city victories and a repeat of that effort should prove good enough in this.

Race 6 Number 1 – IRINKA RILEY

Box one means different things to different dogs but for this fella it is absolute gold. Winner on three of five occasions when donning the red rug and expect that's a record that improves in this.

Has been racing in much stronger company recently, including a fantastic second to kennelmate Jungle Deuce three runs back in the Dubbo Cup. Bet of the night.

Race 10 Number 1 – ROMAN REMISS

Just the six to go around in the last where I'm bullish about Roman Remiss landing city win number four. Winner at 18 of his 42 starts and is rarely far away in his races.

Can prove tricky to catch but if he begins and runs the sectionals he's capable of in this field, I'm giving him a massive chance of landing the prize.

Race 1 Number 5 NOTIFIED 

Runs into a talented up and comer in Special Blend but in saying that happy to go her way at each-way odds. Top placing behind On The Rocks in flying time last start at Nowra and while she's yet to salute in three WPK starts each performance has had merit.

Look for a forward performance in the opener.

Race 7 Number 5 IDLE RANGER

Open race with a number of chances and on an each-way basis Idle Ranger can feature prominently. In the money at six of his 11 city starts and looks capable of settling on the pace in this line-up.
